Rabbinical Wisdom: What's a Messianic Jew To Do?

In June of 2010, seeking wisdom, I brought the following question to Rabbi John Bowring, a brother in Yeshua and my spiritual father, the question was presented as follows:

THE QUESTION - - “Concerning the redemption of the Children of Abraham, (the Nation of Israel) where do we, those of us who love the Lord, fit in?

I myself was raised to believe that bringing people to Yeshua was the work of the Holy Spirit, that those of us who accept his grace are available to show the Love of the Lord, teach scripture, and comfort the widows and orphans. When occasions’ present themselves, and there are opportunities to witness for Messiah, exactly how should the Messianic go forward in service to Yeshua?

I understand that we should show the love of the Savior to one and all. We need to forgive seventy times seven, use the laying on of hands to heal and counsel the dying and the living at times of loss. Is there a simple answer that tells us what we should teach our children?"

RABBI’S ANSWER WAS GIVEN WITH MUCH LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING.

HE GAVE THESE WORDS OF WISDOM:

In the lateness of the hour of man’s time of Earth, we should consider the prophecy of Jeremiah Chapter one verses one through four, five, and six. 1:1 These are the word of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, one of the priests from Anathoth, a town in the land of Benjamin.. 2. The Lord first gave messages to Jeremiah during the thirteenth year of King Josiah’s reign in Judah.3. He continued to give messages throughout the reign of Josiah’s son, King Johoiakim, until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah’s reign in Judah. In august of that year the people of Jerusalem were taken away as captives. 4. The Lord gave me a message. He said, 5. I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my spokesman to the world.

Let us remember to a Jew, Jesus Christ, in Greek is Isus (e-suss/ Son of Zeus) and Christos (a sun worshiping devil in a giant seashell) and therefore a false Messiah, just like Bar Kokbah in the early Fourth century. We agree that the most important thing is to “instruct” others under the anointing of the Holy Spirit about the real and true Savior of humankind.

One of the hardest things for either Jew or Christian to do is to lay aside their religious – theological pasts, terminologies and practices that are contrary to our Lord’s instructions (Gen -Rev.)

We haven’t much time left to work, as the hour is late and the night is coming when no man can work. For the true children of the light of God work in the day and evil works in the night. Our Lord will let us work until he returns for us at the end of this present time.

I cannot see another eight years until all His promises are fulfilled and then brought to pass. We will be caught up to meet Him in the air. He is the one who restrains (through his saints) and we will be taken out of the way so we will not be subject to His wrath upon wickedness (lawlessness).

He enters the battle to avenge us upon the wicked one and his minions. While we are in Jerusalem at the wedding supper (preceding our wedding vows to Messiah and Torah) Yeshua will pull the battle into Moab and defeat all the military might of this world, of governments, etc. collapsing all the powers of Mortal Man.

We will see him returning from the battle with his bloodstained garments as victor, we will rejoice with Him and thereafter anoint and inaugurate Him King of King’s and Lord of Lord’s. At that point the Feast of Tabernacles (2018?) perhaps mid Sept. the Millennium reign of Yeshua Ha Moshiach (Jesus the Messiah) will begin. At least that is my theory, with current best known facts.

READ: 1ST THES. 4:13-18 AND REJOICE!

1ST,THES. 4:13 ,And now brothers and sisters, I want you to know what will happen to the Christians who have died so you will not be full of sorrow like people who have no hope.14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus comes. God will bring back with Jesus, all the Christians who have died.15. I can tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not rise to meet Him ahead of those who are in their graves. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves.17. then together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with Him forever.18. So comfort and encourage each other with these words.

Webmaster Notes - Let's examine two phrases from the above article. Phrase 1 - "I cannot see another eight years until all His promises are fulfilled" - One must be very careful when putting the plan of God into a limited time frame. Although the world is heading toward the fulfillment of prophecy, and the indications are that it could be soon, we must not throw dates into the arena for that is unwise. It is best to get our wisdom of this aspect from Jesus Himself who said that He would come when the world was not expecting Him to show up.

Phrase 2 - "While we are in Jerusalem at the wedding supper" - There will be a great feast for all believers but it is uncertain whether this will take place in Heaven where the city for all church age saints is being constructed called the New Jerusalem or will take place at the Jerusalem here on Earth when Christ returns to set up His earthly kingdom. The fact is it could be both.
