Is Wiccae Satanic or Just Another Religion?

Wiccae is just another form of witchcraft under the guise of nature worship. They claim to perform "white magic" or use their powers for good. The reality is they have no powers, it is a self delusion. As we begin this study of Wicca (Wiccae is an intentional misspelling) it behooves us to start out by defining the term "witchcraft". Webster's Dictionary defines a witch as someone who gets supernatural powers from contact with evil spirits. So if a Wiccan happens to demonstrate some kind of "supernatural" ability, that power did not come from God. Perhaps this is why the bible is so strongly against witchcraft. Exodus 22:18 (KJV) "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."

Witches or Wiccans do not believe that Wiccae has anything to do with the devil. They believe the devil to be a myth and most witches do not believe in "evil."

There is no concept of sin or need for forgiveness in Pagan traditions. There is no need for salvation, as there is "nothing to be saved from." The main tenet of Wiccae is called the "Wiccan Rede". Among other things, it states "An it harm none, do as ye will". Basically, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, anything goes.

This belief seems harmless on the surface and Wiccans believe if they do something bad to someone it will come back on their own head. Is this belief or attitude harmless? The supreme command of Anton Lavey's satanic bible is "Do what thou wilt". The only difference in the Wiccan code and the Satanic code is the phrase, "an it harm none". Jesus said that the love of money is the root of all evil. However, the love of money is rooted in selfishness. Selfishness is the root of sin. Both phrases "An it harm none, do as ye will" and "Do what thou wilt" reinforces selfishness. And both the Wiccan Rede and the Satanic Bible emphasize self over God with the statement "Do what thou will".

Why does God hate witchcraft? Is there any difference between "white magic" and "black magic?" Are there "good witches" and "bad witches"?

According to Wicca, a "Warlock" is a fake witch...an example being those who were accused of being a "witch" and burnedat the stake in medieval times.

A "Wizard" is a "witch wanna be". After studying for one year and a day, the "Wizard" becomes a "Witch". Wicca can either bemale or female but my experience with them has shown that there are more female than male. Since Satan targeted the female first in the Garden of Eden it is no surprise that he still deceives them today and then uses them to deceive the male.

The main reason God objects to witchcraft is that it is a form of rebellion. Basically, the witch is trying to be a spiritual mover and shaker without submitting to God. For example, a witch will imagine that she or he has cast a "spell" on someone. If the so called spell seems to have produced results, where is the power coming from that produced those results? It is certainly not from God. You have to pray to God for Him to intervene in your life and God has a tendency to ignore selfish prayers as selfishness can produce no good works. God will not necessarily say "yes" to your request either. He will if it is His will. A Wiccan/witch casts a spell and if they get immediate results (satisfying his/her earthly nature) without submitting to God, the Wiccan becomes convinced they have power. In actuality, this power came from evil spiritual forces deceiving the practitioner of Wicca or witchcraft into believing they have manifested a power they had within them. The bottom line is this: If you are seeking supernatural gifts from beyond and you seem to be getting them, where are they coming from?

In the book of Exodus, we find the story of Moses as he led the Israelites out of Egypt from slavery. There is magic performed (both satanic and from God) in this story. When Moses first went to Pharaoh requesting that the Israelites be freed, Pharaoh laughed. Aaron (Moses brother) cast his rod down and it became a snake. God did this. However, Pharaoh called his magicians and sorcerers in and they cast their rods down and they also became snakes. Who did this? God? I don't think so. This is a biblical example of satanic witchcraft coming into play. However, God's power was stronger. Aaron's snake devoured the other snakes. This story tells us two things: 1. God and Satan sometimes empowers people to do miraculous things. 2. God's power is stronger than Satan's.

Later on in this story, Moses and Aaron, following God's orders, caused a plague of frogs to come upon Egypt. What happened? Exodus 8:7 "And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt."

One must remember that Satan was once Lucifer. Lucifer was the highest ranked angel of all before he got the idea he was better than God. Lucifer lost his place in heaven and became Satan. However, he has not lost his power as of yet and scripture calls Satan "the god of this age". Why does he empower people to do what seems to be miraculous signs and wonders? Basically, he wants your allegiance. If he grants your desires nowhe knows you won't seek God. I believe many people in the entertainment industry have given into this deception. Why seek after God when you have all the worldly things you ever wanted?

Look how Satan appealed to the carnal in the story of Adam and Eve. Eve was instructed by God not to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. (Nowhere does it say it was an apple). Eve saw it was beautiful. God told her if she ate it she would surely die so don't eat it.. Satan as the serpent asked Eve,"Hath God said, "Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" Gen. 3:1 Satan was making Eve doubt what God had said. Then he out an out lied to her and told Eve that she wouldn't die. Gen 3:4 Since Eve chose to believe Satan's lie instead of God's truth, all mankind has suffered.

There is no difference in what Eve did than what a witch or Wiccan does today. The witch or warlock chooses to believe in Satan's lies rather than in God's truth. This is why God objects to witchcraft so vehemently. Of course, religious fanatics have done great evil in the name of God concerning witchcraft and Wiccans are quick to point that out in defense of their beliefs.

What is the difference between Satan's miracles and God's? Satan appeals to the carnal while God appeals to the spiritual or eternal nature. Satan gives you instant gratification, God has your future in mind.

Is there really such a thing as "black magic" and "white magic"? A "good witch" or a "wicked witch"? Not really. While a so called "good witch" tries to use her/his imaginary power to help people, his/her so called power does not come from God. Therefore, the witch is actually in rebellion against God because the witch is denying the truth of God while being distracted by Satan. Yes, it may make the witch feel good to help those in need and there is nothing wrong with helping someone. But the end result will be that he/she will never put their trust in God because they feel like they don't need him.

Those who practice the dark forms of "black magic" or the more pure form of witchcraft knows exactly where their power comes from and that is where their allegiance lies. It makes no difference as far as God is concerned whether you are a "white witch" or a "black witch". You have failed to put your trust in Him and this has eternal consequences. Jesus said in John 6:44 ""No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day".

I remember reading a book written by someone who supposedly had a vision or revelation of hell. In hell, there was a witch. She was angry, very angry. Why? She cried out, "Satan, you lied to me! You said I would have power!" Why was she in hell?

Jesus said in John 8:44 "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

Conclusion: The Wiccan Rede is a set of man made beliefs that serves only to keep the practitioner from truly knowing God. It is just one of a multitude of "religions" that do this. Since it is a fable, there is no value in being a practicing Wiccan.
