According to this article, http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=45369, false prophets are live and well on planet Earth.
What is a false prophet? One thing that defines a false prophet is that the "prophet" claims to be sent by God but has not been. Anyone can say "God said to me" or "God sent me here" but how do we know that? It is our responsibility to peruse God's word to see if what a person says is so.
A prophet is anyone who speaks the word of God. Today, that would be our preachers as they are the ones proclaiming the word of God. Beware anyone who says they have received a prophecy from God because the Holy Bible is a finished work and warns the reader to not add to the words of that book.
Ramon Watkins, the so-called prophet in the article link above, has given himself the name of Prophet Yahweh. Since Yahweh is the name of God in scripture, then Ramon is saying he is equal to God. This is blasphemy. Jesus said this of Himself, but in His case, it was true. Ramon is not God.
On one of my webpages, I mention that UFOs are deceptive in nature and it is interesting to note that what Mr. Watkins claims to prove his prophetic abilities is his "power" to summon UFOs.
What does scripture foretell about the future and false prophets?
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. Matthew 24:24, 2 Peter 2:1, and 1 John 4:1
Apparently, Mr. Watkins was able to summon 2 UFOs for the benefit for a local Las Vegas news station but there was little news coverage outside of Vegas. Watkins said that was because the "powers that be" (probably the government) doesn't want humanity to know that UFOs are real.
If the pilots of these UFOs have such great technological capabilities then why are they subject to our governments? This does not make any sense. However, a great number of people believe there are alien spacecraft and the government is indeed covering up this fact. What would the government gain (at least according to what people believe) by not revealing the existence of alien life? They claim that if extraterrestrials exist, then Christianity would be destroyed.
Think about this: What entity would have something to gain getting people to question the validity of God's word? Even losing their faith in God and especially not believing in Jesus Christ?
There is a conspiracy going on but it's not a government conspiracy, it is spiritual in nature. The devil is very clever and works by deception but the elect cannot be deceived.
