Sight Unseen, Issue #021 False Propehts and Prophecy

Welcome to Issue #21

---------------News-------------

A couple of issues ago I wrote about the coming persecution of Christians in the United States. Christians are already being and have been persecuted in other parts of the world. On June 1 of 2004, a pastor conducted some baptisms at Falmouth Waterfront Park in Fredricksburg, VA. This is a public water park used frequently by swimmers. Officials at Falmouth asked the Reverend Todd Pyle to leave afterward because they thought the acts of baptism might offend someone. Funny how only acts associated with Christianity are "offensive".

Freedom of religious expression is protected by the U.S. constitution but those freedoms are being taken away from us. Persecution is the next step. Falmouth Water Park should have a billboard which reads, "We will pretend you didn't pee in the pool but don't dare baptize someone in it."

Tired of high gas prices? Oil has been discovered in Israel and it is only a matter of time before they will be able to mass produce it. This will make Israel the wealthiest nation in the world and the western nations will no longer have to bow down to the insane demands of price gouging terrorist nations. The Arabs are not going to like it one little bit but that's just too bad. What goes around comes around.

------------Prophecy and False Prophets-----------

The definition of prophecy is the future written in advance. There is only one source that is 100% accurate about what is in store for us in the future and that is the Bible.

Prophets are men and women who proclaim the word of God. The Old Testament prophets always proclaimed God's word faithfully even though they knew that some of the news they bore would not be well received. Today's prophets are ministers or preachers. Their job is to proclaim God's word. I am a prophet because I proclaim God's word all over the world.

When God's word is skewered by men and women who twist it to further their own agendas, then they become false prophets. Jesus warns us in Matthew 24:24 that For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. One of the things that false prophets will be able to do is miracles. When I see pastors on television asking the audience if they want to receive a miracle today, I can't help but think of the words of Jesus.

Are there people today who receive new revelations from God? Definitely not. The Bible is God's word and God's word is complete. Anyone who claims to have a new revelation from God are either deceiving others or are being deceived.

Hebrews 1:1 & 2 states 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; God used prophets before Christ to proclaim His word but when God incarnated Himself as the God/man Jesus, God was finished with prophets. Jesus became the final and ultimate prophet. Why does Jesus know so much? Because "He made the worlds". Jesus is not only our Saviour, He is also our creator.

The evolution proponents would save a lot of time and energy if they just read the Bible. Sadly they believe the Bible to be an outdated book so they spend countless hours trying to prove a fantasy.

Virtually all of the New Testament is inspired by Jesus Himself and it is Jesus who told the authors of the New Testament what to write with the help of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told John to write in the book of Revelation (the last book of the Bible and also the book which completes the canon of scripture) 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation Chapter 22.

Sollog, a false prophet, claims that Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 16 which states 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star is proof that Jesus is Satan because the name Lucifer means bright and morning star. First of all, this assumption is incorrect. The name Lucifer means "son of the morning star". Lucifer was once the highest ranked angel of all and Jesus loved His creation very much.

Jesus created all things because He is part of the triune Godhead and Lucifer was one of His creations. Lucifer, like man, had free will to choose his own path and he chose to rebel against Jesus and in doing so became the author of all sin in the universe. Sollog is guilty of blasphemy to the highest degree by calling Jesus Satan. He even authors a book called Jesus is Not God. There are many, many scriptures that clearly illustrate the divinity of Jesus.

Peter was one of the disciples who saw Jesus in His glory on the mount of transfiguration. Moses and Elijah, who had been dead a long time, were with Jesus on this mountain. This was probably the most significant event of Peter's life and yet, when Peter wrote about it in 2nd Peter, he concluded the chapter with 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

According to Peter, there is nothing more sure than Bible Prophecy, not even what he had witnessed on the mount of transfiguration. Sollog claims in one of his so-called prophecies that Israel would be nuked. That is a sure indication that Satan is Sollog's spiritual father. Israel is the apple of God's eye and the entire world could turn their nukes on Israel and press the fire button. The missiles would never make it.

Bible Prophecy says the nation of Israel is destined to be the most powerful nation on earth and Jesus would rule from the city of Jerusalem. This is a certainty. Sollog is just trying to make a buck from his followers. Jesus is giving His followers an eternity with Him in heaven. Which prophet are you going to trust?
