Sight Unseen, Issue #005 -- Mankind's Final Test

-----------Bible Wisdom------------

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Pretty simple and straightforward isn't it? Either the Bible is true and God created us and everything around us or else the Bible is false. That is why it really annoys me every time I watch a documentary and the commentator talks about how we evolved from the muck into these complex bodies that we now own. It takes faith to believe in either God or evolution. At least God offers hope. Evolution offers hopelessness. Evolution says there is no heaven and hell and we have no sin problem. Since God died on the cross to wash away our sins, who could be the author of a idea that discounts the idea of sin altogether? Hmmm....could it be Satan?

---------Mankind's Final Test-----------------

Revelation Chapter 20 Verses 7 - 10 state: And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

When Christ returns to earth to set up his earthly kingdom (for those churches that teach there will be no millennium and no earthly kingdom: you are wrong), he will cast Satan into a bottomless pit (abyss) for a 1,000 years. After that time period has expired, Satan will be let loose once more to deceive the nations. Why? Because this is mankind's final test.

When Jesus returns to earth (thus ending the coming tribulation period) there will be at least 144,000 survivors (probably many more). They will go into mankind's 7th Millennium as mortals. The beginning of Christ's rule will be restoring a devastated planet back to the beautiful garden state it was originally intended to be.

There will be no need for police forces, military, or hospitals because Christ will be ruling the planet from the capital city of Jerusalem. (That's why you see Israel so much in the news today. Satan is trying to prevent this). Although sin will be present in the mortal men that live on planet earth, it won't be widespread because Christ will be ruling with a rod of iron and stop sin before it begins. (The resurrected church members will be ruling and reigning with Christ).

As the 7th Millennium approaches its end, there will have been many new people born on this planet having never known the presence of Satan. Satan will be released for only one reason: who are these people going to choose to believe God or Satan? That is the choice you and I must make and it is the choice everyone has to make. We choose our destiny: eternity with God or an eternity separated from God.

Adam and Eve chose to believe Satan and all of mankind has suffered for it. We are now in the age of Grace. We have to choose to reject or accept Christ's sacrifice on the cross. The majority of mankind rejects it.

The children of the 7th Millennium will have to choose Satan or God...who are they going to believe and trust? Prophecy tells us that the capital city of Jerusalem is completed surrounded by rebellious forces and God has no choice but to destroy them. It is at this time Satan receives his final judgment and is cast into the lake of fire (where the antichrist and false prophet already are).

It is at this time, that all of the unsaved people will be judged and cast into the lake of fire. The heavens and earth will be destroyed by fire (this purges all sin from both places). After that, a new heaven and a new earth will be in place and sin will no longer be present.

We have been placed here primarily for one reason: to choose whom we will serve. Will it be God or the Devil? Will it be life or death? Will it be darkness or light? It is up to you.
