-------Norwegian Terrorist-------

On July 22, 2011 a Norwegian man by the name of Anders Breivik set a bomb off in a government building which resulted in the deaths of 8 people. Anders then drove to a Labour Party youth camp posing as a policeman. He shot and killed at least 69 people. Some of the victims drowned trying to hide from the gunman.

Why didn't anybody shoot back? The answer is simple. The gun control laws in Norway are very strict so the citizens of Norway are unable to arm themselves for defense. A favorite American saying is, "If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have them." This phrase fits the Norwegian situation to a tee. That is why the death toll was so high.

People ask the question, "How could anyone do such a thing?" "Isn't mankind basically good at heart?"

The answer to that question is a resounding "no". The Bible clearly teaches the nature of man is sinful. Man's natural propensity is evil. No one is basically good. The fact is we are all basically evil. In order for man to gain access to heaven, his nature has to be changed. Most of mankind tries to earn their way into heaven by doing works but that will never succeed. Our works can never measure up to God's Holy standards.

Our nature has to be changed. The changing of our nature occurs when we receive the Holy Spirit. We can only receive this Spirit when we put our trust in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. If we do not put our faith and trust in the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross that atones for our sins, we can never receive the Holy Spirit and our nature will never be changed.

The liberal media was very quick to label Anders Breivik as a "Christian Fundamentalist". In the minds of the liberal media, "Christian Fundamentalism" equals "terrorism". The media is supposed to present the facts not opinions, speculations, and falsehoods.

Can a Christian Fundamentalist be a terrorist?

What is the definition of a terrorist? According to the dictionary, a terrorist is someone who frightens or scares other people. One who advocates terrorism for political gain.

What is a Christian? It is someone who follows Jesus Christ and His teachings.

What is a Fundamentalist? It is one who strictly adheres to a set of rules or principles.

What is a Christina Fundamentalist? It is one who strictly follows the set of rules and principles as given by Jesus Christ. What did Jesus Christ teach? "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and love your neighbor as yourself". Luke 10:27

A Christian Fundamentalist would be one who strictly adheres to the rules and principles of the Holy Bible. One of these rules is "Thou Shalt not Kill". Romans 13:9

By definition, a Christian Fundamentalist cannot be a terrorist. When the media labels a terrorist as a "Christian Fundamentalist" they are not only not being objective, they are lying.

There is no death penalty in Norway. The maximum sentence a prisoner can receive is 21 years. Seems to be a very short term for a mass murderer. We will see this kind of thing happen again and again because it has been prophesied and all biblical prophecies come to pass. "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come ." 2 Timothy 3:1

Perilous times refers to not only terrorism, but other dangers as well such as natural disasters and plagues. The closer we get to the return of Christ, the more perilous our world will become.

The saddest part of this story is that the country of Norway, for the most part, excludes God from their lives. They believe that anyone who would commit a violent act is "mentally unbalanced". Instead of seeking help from God, they turn to psychiatrists and psychologists who try to change the nature of that "mentally unbalanced" person.

I have some news for Norway. Only God can change the nature of man and He has chosen to do that through His son, Jesus Christ. Psychology cannot do a thing about sin and Ander's prison psychologists will find that out for themselves.
