-------Fairy Tales-------

I received an email a few days ago that declared the articles on my web site to be fairy tales and asked what proof that I had that God existed. Another email said they liked the site because it made them laugh for over an hour and they were not referring to my joke pages. Another email accused me of being close minded. These emails are an indication of just how spiritually blind and lost the world really is.

What are some modern day myths and fairy tales that the population tend to believe in as fact? Some believe that we are being regularly visited by aliens from another planet. They also believe that some people are being abducted by these aliens who are conducting sexual experiments and genetic manipulations. They even believe the government knows all about this and are covering up the facts. This is a fairy tale.

Every show I see on television about "haunted sites" always attributes the cause of the haunting to the spirit of someone who had died a violent or tragic death always ruling out any other possible cause for the phenomenon that is taking place. The belief that the spirits of departed souls still wander specific locations on this planet is a fairy tale.

People read their daily horoscopes to see "what the stars" have in store for them or they call the psychic hotline or consult their tarot cards or Ouija boards to gain inside information on what the future holds. All of this stuff are just fairy tales.

There are people who claim to be able to speak to the souls of the dead. They are deceived. Modern day man believes in all kinds of nonsense that are really just demonic lies and deceptions yet they refuse to believe and trust in the word of God. What does God say about the state of affairs just before He returns?

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Matthew 24:24

For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.Romans 16:18

2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.Revelation 20

There are many verses in the new testament that state deception will abound in the latter days. People will have itching ears to hear what they want to believe rather than what God really says. The belief in the fairy tale called evolution is one example of this.

What are some biblical claims that seem so fantastic that people believe they are just fairy tales? Perhaps it is the claim that all one has to do to spend an eternity with God in heaven is to simply put their faith and trust in Christ. Maybe they refuse to believe that anyone could be born of a virgin or that God would impregnate a woman. It makes more sense to them that Mary was impregnated by aliens.

Perhaps they don't believe that of all creation is under a curse because of one man's sin. God told Adam and Eve if they ate the forbidden fruit they would surely die. We see the evidence of this truth because when we turn on the news or read the newspaper there is always an obituary.

Perhaps they refuse to believe that our planet is infested with evil, invisible spirits who seek the destruction of mankind. Or that God defeated them when He went to the cross to pay the penalty for your sin and my sin.

Perhaps they refuse to believe that one day millions of people will suddenly vanish from planet Earth because God took them. Perhaps they refuse to believe that the graves will be opened.

What proof do we have that God exists? In the beginning God created the heaven and the earthGenesis 1:1 Paul said in Romans 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Paul said that all you needed to do to see the proof of God was look out your window and witness His creation. He went on to say that those who refused to believe in God became futile in their thoughts and were, in fact, fools.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:3

The real issue is the question: Is the Bible really the word of God? Can the Bible be trusted? After studying the prophecies that the bible makes and the mathematical impossibility of just a few of them coming to pass yet watching one after another become fulfilled, a scientist would have to say that there really is something to this book. The Bible is not a collection of fairy tales. It is the Counsel of the Holy.
