Let No Man Deceive You
August 29, 2008

"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first," 2 Thes. 2 - 3.

Deception is rampant in the "Christian" church of today. Ministers are deceiving people by the millions.

How can you tell if a church is deceiving the masses? One thing to look for is: Are the masses flocking to a church or a particular minister? Chances are the minister is preaching what the laity wants to hear.

People don't want to hear the negative things that go with being a believer in Christ. Jesus said, "' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you." John 15:20

This teaching is completely contrary to the "prosperity gospel". Just plant your seed money into a ministry of your choosing and God will bless you with riches you would not have received otherwise. Tell that to the Chinese woman who watched her grandmother shot simply because she owned a Bible. Tell that to the Christians who were gunned down by Muslims while they were worshiping in church. Tell that to the Amish people who completely forsake most of modern day conveniences.

If the "prosperity gospel" were true, then it would apply to everyone worldwide. It doesn't work. Let no man deceive you.

Some churches preach everyone is going to heaven and no one is going to hell. That is man's spin not God's. What does the scripture say? "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." John 3:36

Scripture is very clear: Refuse to believe in Jesus and His work of redemption, then bear the wrath of God. If you die in the state of bearing God's wrath, you will have to endure it forever. This is not taught in the modern day church. Pastors are told to not preach about hell because that is not a "positive" message and people don't want to hear that.

Planting your "seed money" has taken the place of repenting of your sins and turning to Christ for the salvation of your soul.

Another doctrine being propagated by the modern church is the claim that God wants to heal everyone of their physical illnesses or injuries. That is partially true. Peter said, "By whose stripe you are healed." 1 Peter 2:24

That healing applies to our spiritual self which is eternal not our physical self which is only temporary. Every person who ever lived who has had a physical ailment healed by God or even been raised from the dead by God died. God is not overly concerned about your physical well being. He died on the cross for your spiritual well being.

God heals those whom He chooses to heal for His purposes. If He wanted to heal everyone of their physical ailments, then there would be no hospitals. Have you every wondered why those healing ministers never visit the sick in nursing homes and hospitals? They are modern day magicians who put on a good show.

These healing crusades draw millions of people because they want to be healed of their physical ailments...most really do not care about their spiritual condition. Let no man deceive you.

All kinds of nonsense is being preached from the modern day pulpit. Since most "Christians" seldom read their Bibles, they can be led astray quite easily and swear that things are in the Bible when they are not.

For instance, God helps those who help themselves is a phrase that many believe comes from the Bible but it cannot be found anywhere in scripture. Let no man deceive you.

Man has gotten away from teaching and preaching the word of God. It has been replaced by a "feel good about yourself worship experience". The masses want that and the masses are leaving the churches that stand on the word of God. Hundreds of churches that once thrived are closing their doors for good due to lack of attendance.

Where are the people going? To the Holy Roller, Speak in Tongues, Heal My Body, Holy Laughter, Bless My Bank Account, Dancing in the Aisles,Never Going To Hell Church of the Deceived.

Let no man deceive you. How many of these church goers actually believe and trust in Christ's gift of pardon? I'm afraid God is going to shut the door of heaven to many who will cry out, "Lord, Lord have I not prophesied in your name, have I not healed the sick in your name, and cast out evil spirits in your name?"

Christ will reply, "You fooled your fellow man but you can't fool me. Depart from me you worker of sin. I never knew you!"

Let man no deceive you.
